Tid 2015

Ten years ago I made the first logo for Tid. We [Tid] wanted the logo to change and grow with the band so five years later, as we were about to release Giv Akt, I expanded the logo. Now another five years have passed, a new recording is on the horizon, and once again I re-designed the logo. The following is a short explanation of the symbolics behind the logo/symbol.

2005: We wanted a logo that represented the essence of Tid – history and future. Hence it should look like a hieroglyph and/or rune crossbred with an alien symbol from a science fiction movie.

2010: In this version the continuation form of the letter D represents the sun. Around it the phases of the moon and to close it all in – the three dimensions of our physical reality.

2015: To up the dimension bit a notch I choose to add the fourth dimension to this version. The logo as a whole is now orbited by time itself.

i really like the artworks and concept of tid,it is a mysterious logo and mystical background that takes me to a lot of places.i am waiting for this new album.i really want that cinematic/time travelling feeling this day, only a few records made me feel like that.those are giv akt, bortom inom, goodmorning restrained by magna carta cartel and the dark side of the moon by pink floyd.
could you please add the lyrics to the back of the cd this time?I am trying to learn swedish, but i can only get a few of the words hahaha.
anyways, best of luck with your projects, and i am really looking forward to that album

Thanks a lot Luis, I’m glad to hear you like both the logo and the band. To be compared to Pink Floyd is an honur to say the least.

I’m very excited to the new album! Your designs are Amazing and Tid is so unique. I’ve never heard anything like it. really great sound and atmosphere. The juxtaposition of intricate music with your really guttural voice is the best!

I was never a fan of low vocla thing really but it somehow work with TID.

Very cool music, be cool if some was in english

Being a ghost fan I have to speculate if this is being done due to problems in the ghost camp of from free time while not touring or just because demand for tid is still around, hopefully the latter.
    great and original artwork claudio!

Good job! I dont’t know swedish, but I just fell in love Tid’s music. Very fresh and unusual sound makes me put it on a relay. I talked once to Martin Persner, which I hope is still in this band, he seemed to be smart and profound man. Also, greetings to Claudio Marino! Thank you for Tid and wonderfull looking Ghost website. :)

I was introduced to tid very recently, and all that I can say is that I wish I would have learned about this band a long long time ago. I have become such a fan of this music and the music that these guys are making through other projects. it is incredible. They are bringing something real to the scene that is intellectual and the world needs more artists like this. I’m ready to kick it with some of these guys at texas mutiny next month, and hopefully I’ll get to let them know how much I dig what they are putting out there.

    Thanks for the inspiration! :)

Normally when I talk about Tid, I end up prattling on about how wonderful the music is, but you already know that you’re fantastic ;)

What you don’t know is that I’m a huge time nerd. I’ve been researching the various perceptions of time for a number of years now, and finding Tid and this design has absolutely delighted me. :)

    Thank you for existing. <3

As an undergraduate physics student and a lover of general relativity and quantum mechanics, I love the 2015′s logo so much … it’s beautiful!

Brilliant! You guys are just about the most talented and well educated musicians out there & I’m a music snob and take music seriously and dont listen to just any bands!!!….Keep up the great work

I just recently discovered tid and I really dig the music. The funny part is I was considering getting a tattoo very similar to the most recent two logos without Even being aware of the band. How crazy is that? Anyway, I love both the music and the mystery that surrounds it. Beautiful.
